Other than working with little ones in the morning, I also work with students BIGGER than me in the afternoon/evening.
Started working at an international school beginning of this month. I am working with 7 high school boys + 3 girls from China... mainly helping them with their hw + conversational English, assisting them in getting ready for TOFEL, and planning their weekend activities. This really reminds me of when I led the China Exchange Program w/ Thomson @HKIS (getting pay, gaining experience + having fun all at the same time~!) I also needed to make them dinner 2-3 times a week. Yup! You didn't hear me wrong. Phoebe is actually COOKING~!! All of them are still alive + healthy, so I think I am doing a pretty good job with that
We went hiking at Sunol Wilderness Park last Saturday. My mom came with us as well~
I guess I am pretty lucky with job hunting got a job that I wanted+needed within a month since I came back. I am teaching Math to kindergarteners every morning. Comparing to the 2nd graders that I used to work with, these kindergarteners are like babies... so tiny and adorable~!! But I am fascinated by the way they think, always coming up with /comments that I wouldn't have thought of. Since it's a K-1 combo classroom, I also get to work with some 1st graders on reading and writing. their writing~!!! especially their "creativeness" in spelling. Candice (the teacher) is also very nice and organize, which makes my part a lot easier.
We had our pumpkin patch today. It's a lot of fun watching all the kids "shop" for their pumpkin.
